That's really cool! And you may not write it but I'm sure planning it was fun, and now it can just percolate in your mind for a while and perhaps a character will wander out eventually.

Mine would be The Girl of Ash and Dust, which makes me think of burial rites - ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Maybe she's the daughter of an undertaker, or a healer, or she has the Sight and knows when people will die?

OOH! Or maybe it's your classic YA time travel novel! You have your classic 'wandered off on a school trip' time traveller girl, and she travels back to Pompeii and falls for a girl there (who ends up dying and being one of the bodies in the exhibit, but then our modern girl meets another girl who looks just like her crush from Pompeii... I would have read the shit out of that as a teenager.)

ooooooh I like the Time Traveler idea! and Pompeii is just super cool regardless so :D!

lorata says I should do this thing as no-stress (i.e. no required wordcount) NaNoWriMo in November.......and I may be thinking up the mechanics of magic for this world and enjoying myself doing it sooooo ????? maybe it will happen???????

Whether you write it or not, I'm always impressed with your many story ideas! You never seem to be lacking in plots!

(I feel like I'm always more 'Okay, I know I need an actual plot, but where might I find one?' XD;)

Ha, I get that too. Like "I want a story about Eleven from Stranger Things meeting Laura from Logan...... but I guess they should, y'know, DO something?"

And then randomly plot-things occur to me and demand to be written. Now if I could just get the characters and the plots to actually line up, I'd be set XD

I always feel like there's a bit more freedom to have less plot in fanfic, but you still need something?
